BUFFALO REGISTRY GUIDE
The Bon Ton:
I've visited several local Bon-Ton stores Fine China and Bridal Registry Departments in the Buffalo area and the only one I would even consider recommending is the Galleria store. The other Bon-Tons had these major problems:
- No scanner for the Registry. Must hand write changes. (All Bon-Tons.)
- Sales on China and Crystal not marked with signs. (Sheridan Dr & Eastern Hills)
- No one familiar with China or the registry working on a weekday evening. (Sheridan & Eastern Hills)
- Didn't update the brides registry to show items purchased! ( Eastern Hills)
- Special order for Fine China process out-dated and credit information not secure! (All Bon-Tons)
- Received incorrect number of items ordered. (Eastern Hills)
- Refused to give an accurate time period for when the special order items would arrive. (Eastern Hills and Sheridan Dr.)
- Sent the ordered item to the wrong address. (Eastern Hills)
I can't tell you what to do but personally my multiple bad experiences with multiple people at multiple Bon-Tons on multiple days; lead me to decide that I will NOT be using them for my registry when the time comes!
The Pottery Barn:
Galleria Mall. I've never had a problem using a bridal registry there. I would register there myself.
Kaufmanns:
Haven't had to deal with them yet. I can only assume they can't possibly be as bad as The Bon-Ton!
Target:
A great choice for the price conscious bride who is looking for items in a variety of price ranges! You scan the things you would like to buy. It's VERY easy for your guests to get a copy of your registry at any Target store nationwide! The only thing you can't really get here is fine China and Crystal.
Fortunoff: Nice selection of Fine China and Crystal. You can get a good look at the patterns using the close-up. Prices on the 5 piece sets of china were at least $10 more than I saw in local stores.
Ross-Simons: A nice selection of China and Crystal. Didn't have time to look closely at the site.
